Accessibility Statement

Accessibility at EarnDrift

Last reviewed: May 10, 2026.

EarnDrift is committed to making our product usable by people with disabilities. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we test new screens against that standard before shipping.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML, headings, and landmark regions throughout.
  • Keyboard-navigable controls and visible focus states.
  • Color contrast that meets WCAG AA in both light and dark modes.
  • Alt text on images that convey meaning; decorative images are marked aria-hidden.
  • Form fields with explicit labels and error text tied via aria-describedby.
  • Animation respecting prefers-reduced-motion in modern browsers.

Known limitations

We're a small team and accessibility is a moving target. We currently know about (and are working on) these limitations:

  • Some complex data tables (contractor roster, transaction view) are dense and may be hard to scan with a screen reader.
  • Generated 1099 PDFs are intended as draft worksheets and have not been tagged for screen readers.
  • Some third-party embeds (Stripe Connect onboarding, Plaid Link) follow their vendors' accessibility behavior, which we don't control directly.

How to report an issue

If you encounter a barrier, please email accessibility@earndrift.com with the page URL, what you were trying to do, and what didn't work. Where possible, include the assistive technology you were using (e.g., VoiceOver on iOS 18, NVDA on Windows 11). We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 business days and prioritize fixes that block core tasks (signup, payment, W-9 collection) above cosmetic issues.
